Transgenic Life Forms
Book of drawings and installation scientific
Exhibited for A Fresh Field of Life, MDI Biological Laboratory, as part of the centenary celebration of Acadia National Park, Maine USA. 2016
The drawings in the book "Transgenic Life Forms" are inspired by our recent breakthroughs in decoding nature and the work of biologist Ernst Haeckel, who over a hundred years ago recorded in detail the structure of thousands of life forms. The work references his hypotheses relating to the Phylogenetic tree, a diagram that represents the evolutionary relationships among organisms, after he discovered similarities in pattern formation between species as well as between the organic and inorganic.
