2.8 million Science Foundation Ireland Award presented by Damien English; Minister of State for Research, Innovation and Skills

Damien English; Minister of State for Research, Innovation and Skills presents Science Foundation Ireland funding award at Farmleigh House to artist Angela Gilmour with representatives from Tyndall National Institute and IPIC Ireland. The project will promote science to the public using art. This was one of the 42 projects chosen to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and one of three projects involving art (STEAM). This award is part of Science Foundation Ireland €2.8 million investment in STEM Public Engagement and Education Initiatives. These STEM projects are estimated to reach 3.6 million people in Ireland by the end of 2017.
